Elizabeth Vecchiarelli

Elizabeth Vecchiarelli is the owner and founder of Preserved in Oakland, CA. Through a combination of formal training, insatiable curiosity, Elizabeth has acquired extensive knowledge in traditionally-preserved foods, beverages, and herbal medicines. She expanded that knowledge at Garden Variety Cheese Company in Watsonville, CA to include cheese and yogurt making.  She interned with the Teutonic Wine Company in Oregon, where she learned natural winemaking using only ambient yeasts

With over 15 years of experience with local, sustainable, and handmade food, Elizabeth brings this desire to learn, create and share to the Homestead Stage on Sunday, April 10th. She will be conducting all 3 hands-on workshops that day.
